Cookies & Storage Notice
This notice describes the browser cookies and session storage used by the Desk, and the analytics and performance scripts used across Requisition Desk services.
Last updated September 25, 2026
What this notice covers
The public Requisition Desk website does not use a browser cookie for its daily visitor measurement described below. The authenticated Desk does use host-only security cookies, and it uses browser session storage for queue presentation and navigation. The website and Desk also run scripts that measure use and performance.
Cookies are small values a site asks a browser to store and return with later requests. Session storage is data kept by a browser for a particular tab or page session. Scripts can collect information from requests and page activity without setting a cookie, so “no analytics cookie” does not mean “no measurement data.”
Desk session storage
The Desk uses sessionStorage to keep queue presentation and navigation state for the current tab. This helps the Desk preserve context as you move through its interface; it is not the source of the underlying organization or requisition record.
Browsers normally clear session storage when a tab session ends. A browser that restores tabs after a restart or crash may also restore that tab’s session storage, so closing a window does not guarantee immediate erasure in every browser configuration.
Website analytics and service performance
The public website uses request-derived signals for daily visitor recognition without placing a browser analytics cookie. This helps count visits and understand which pages are used during a day, but it still involves processing request and measurement data.
Performance and measurement scripts used on the website and Desk may collect page URLs or application routes, referring context, browser and device characteristics, network and request information, timing and performance measurements, error or diagnostic events, and coarse location derived from network information. We use this information to understand service use, diagnose problems, maintain security, and improve reliability and performance.
Functional technology providers may process this information for hosting, analytics, performance monitoring, security, and operational support. Provider categories and broader uses are described in the Privacy Notice.
Browser and device controls
You can use browser or device settings to:
- view, delete, or block cookies for a site;
- clear site data, including session storage;
- limit scripts or network requests through privacy settings or content blockers; and
- control whether tabs and prior sessions are restored after restarting the browser.
Blocking the Desk’s security cookies will prevent or interrupt sign-in and authenticated use. Clearing session storage may reset queue presentation or navigation context. Blocking scripts or requests may reduce measurement, but may also impair site or Desk operation. Cookie blocking alone does not necessarily stop cookieless, request-derived measurement.
There is currently no in-site cookie or analytics preferences switch. For questions about measurement data or to make a privacy request, contact support@reqdesk.com.
